What a Mini Split Actually Costs Installed in Austin
Most Austin homeowners and property managers never see a simple price for a ductless mini split until they sit through a sales visit. Mini Split Reef posts one flat rate: $2,000 per mini split installed, however many units.
That price includes the equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup, and a Home Depot run for touch up paint. There are no trip fees or surprise add-ons. Property managers, landlords, and multi-unit owners receive a volume discount off the $2,000 per unit rate.
What the $2,000 flat rate includes
The $2,000 per unit flat rate covers a standard mini split install: the equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup, and a Home Depot run for touch up paint. There is no trip fee and no surprise add-on for a normal install. If your job needs nonstandard work, we will say so before any work starts.
Honest exceptions, stated before work begins
Some jobs do cost more, and we prefer to say that up front. The three honest exceptions are a very long line set, a panel upgrade the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting. These are not hidden fees discovered after the job starts. They are discussed with you before the install.
How this compares with typical Austin ductless pricing
Ductless installs in Central Texas commonly run $3,000 to $6,000 per zone on a custom quote. Most local HVAC contractors are quote based and require an in-home sales visit before pricing. Mini Split Reef keeps the same $2,000 per unit flat rate across Austin and the I-35 corridor, north to Waco and Killeen and south to San Antonio. Mini splits are heat pumps, so they cool through brutal Central Texas summers and handle mild winters without a furnace.
